Timothy Timothy was born on September 21, 1993. He was born 3 months premature while we were on vacation in Florida. He was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola and stayed there for many weeks until being transported to Egleston Children's Hospital in Atlanta. Along with all of the normal preemie stuff that he went through, Timothy had grade 3 and 4 brain hemorrhages. This resulted in him having hydrocephalus and he has a VP shunt to control that. Timothy also has Cerebral Palsy(CP) as a result of the hemorrhages. In 1997 he had a Dorsal Rhizotomy performed by Dr. Park at St Louis Children's Hospital. This was done to help to decrease the spasticity in his legs due to the CP. The resulting follow up therapy has been tough but he has come through like a trooper. In every step of the way, the Lord has blessed Timothy and us, meeting all of our needs; physically, mentally, and financially. Timothy is now 4 years old and continues to improve each and every day. |
